Thanx Gabby. I know what you mean. I guess many people finish it with some regrets...they are everywhere. You are to be commended, tho, because you really didn't choose the situation, so maybe more credit is due. I do hope spring comes quickly...still afraid of the ice, sleet and snow. They seem to be growing back, yes. In the process of cutting them back, I believe I also eliminated those nasty caterpillars that get on them every year -- I still don't know how to treat that problem, either. I've tried Bayer pesticide and even pouring some cold brew coffee (lots of caffeine). Conversely, I had a pot outside that had petunias that would start growing back after winter. I thought that was rather interesting, especially for zone 5 here in New England. Most of the do not :) I have read that you need to keep pruning petunias throughout the year. But if I can just figure out how to keep these pests off my plants, I think they will fare better. This year, I think some kind of fungus or microbe attacked them in addition to caterpillars.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I'm really enjoying how soft and cozy it is on these cold mornings and nights. I also love how it is easy to make the bed look neat and finished, even straight from the dryer. My only complaint would be it doesn't have corner ties, so I've used safety pins instead. Thank you for the compliments on the blanket, it's my favorite shade of green. I bought it on vacation in Ireland. I wish I had the skills to knit it!
