Wood chair rail molding as a tile cap?

We are refreshing our master bath and are leaning towards a matching porcelain tile wainscot around the room. The tile we are likely using only has a bullnose trim available and I'd like more dimension and interest. I am considering staining a wood chair rail molding to match the rest of the wood in the room and using it to cap the wainscot. I have never seen that done and I wonder if there is a reason. It will not be in any wet areas of the room. Could this work? Does anyone have any pictures? Thanks.
