We had two Eco Drake toilets installed 4 months ago and we are very happy with the performance. I don't know what a water spot means in your question but the flush is very powerful and effective. (I see in the link I have below that water spots are mentioned and are large). Occasionally, just as with our old American Standards, sometimes you need to use a toilet brush. We have had no clogs or need for a plunger. I am thrilled with how fast they refill and I know with 3 new Totos in our house we have reduced our water usage. I bought ours at a local green building supply place. Just googling it now I amazed at how low the price is on efaucets...$210 plus $80 shipping. I'm pretty sure we paid about $400 for it. In real life - I've used plenty of these - they work very well and never leave anything stuck to the sides of the bowl...." OH, do I beg to differ with you! We installed a Portrait toilet in our powder room 20 yrs ago when we built our home & it's the worst flushing toilet I've ever cleaned! Not only does stuff get stuck on the front end of the bowl (yuck!) but hardly any water enters all around the rim while flushing. We can't replace it as we have the matching pedestal & both are in black - very expensive color so we're stuck. I keep clorox clean-ups & rubber gloves handy in that bathroom now, as I refuse to use a toilet brush on what gets stuck - just too disgusting. None of our other 4 bathroom have problems with flushing & all toilets were installed at same time. It's got to be the design of the bowl & flushing system. My hubby is a P&H contractor, well-respected in our "tony" town, so the toilet was installed properly. It's just hopeless & I dread it when someone uses it for more than a simple peeing!

Don't forget to check the CUWCC. The 14th edition of the MaP testing results is out. For some reason, the plain Aquia does better than the Aquia II. The Carlyle is in between. I'm not sure about astridh's assertion that the connection to the wall is different. A cutoff valve and a flex hose is gonna be required regardless. Here is a link that might be useful: MaP Testing

trtsmb - do you happen to still have the box your toto aquia II came in? Just curious about country of manufacturing issues. Do you know where your Aquia II was made? Do you know how old your Aquia II is? The Aquia II's i just purchased and returned were made in China, as is the Aquia III I decided to keep. I hope I have good luck as you have! Poodledo
