I have a SS GE Profile--no streaks.

My 3 year old GE Profile fd reefer is a B* to keep from streaking. It will clean up streak free with a ridiculous regimen.

It's not only the best cleaner but easy and fast! Wipe on, wipe off always with the grain. Use a very clean COTTON cloth. It can't have any grease on it and it helps if there is no fabric softener in it. (fabric softener is grease)
I've tried many out there and I have never found one that pleased me. I have the bottle, not the tube, and it has lasted me over two years and I still have lots left... I think the tube may be thicker like more of a toothpaste. The bottle is more of a thick liquid. The stuff is awesome! Couldn't live with my stainless if I didn't have this. No oily finish like "Stainless Steel Magic" and some of the others.
Cotton is key to success when cleaning stainless. Good luck!

We tried many different spray-on cleaners for our SS appliances. Finally, a co-worker said to just wipe them down with a damp microfiber cloth. No cleaner, just a little water. We have Wolf, Kitchenaid, and Electrolux SS appliances, and that is all it takes. You just have to wash the cloth once in awhile so that it stays very clean.

Briefly, our KA DW streaks; our GE Profile refrigerator/warming drawer/ovens, Sharp MW, and Vent-A-Hood range hood do not streak.

I suspect it has to do with what I use on them...microfiber cloth with Weiman SS Cleaner/Polish or, if I cannot find the Weiman, Pledge in the brown can. Not only do these two products clean SS surfaces quickly & easily, but they repel future fingerprints & streaks.

My SS Kitchenaid sxs fridge has developed permanent streaks on the front that appears to be from the exterior ice dipenser. If anyone has any idea how to get rid of these, I'd love to know. Other than that I can keep my SS appliances streak free with Stainless Steel Magic and a microfiber cloth.

Monaw I clicked on the link you provided and it states for cookware. I assume this also works for SS appliances?

Someone on this forum also suggested seltzer water. It is my SZ ref I have problems with. I tried the stainless steel magic, cleaner that came with the SZ (horrible stuff) and damp microfiber rag and my ref looks bad. I am now off to the store to buy sprayway several suggested and the seltzer water. Hopefully one will work as my ref looks pretty bad.

kaismom - have you looked at the Samsung "platinum" finish? That's what I have and I love it!!!! Matches my stainless appliances just fine, and no streaks or fingerprints.

Faith2009, yes it works on any stainless, and it works great.

Can be found at quality paint stores, such as Porter and Ben Moore. I buy 6 cans at a time...I think I pay around $3 something. Whatever you do don't buy it at Ace hardware...they want $84 for 12 cans!

While it is true that you don't see smudges on the coated outside of the Electrolux refrgerators, I would urge you to stay away from ANY Electrolux regfrigerator!
I was told that Electrolux products were good quality. How far from the truth! My refrigerator (3yrs. old, model:E23C75DSS4) has been a major disappointment. Many of my problems started right away.
1. The seal on the freezer must not be tight, because shortly after I bought it a had a pound of dead ants on the bottom shelf of the freezer.
2. It is very loud and runs almost constantly. My 30 year old GE was less noisy.
3. The coating, that is supposed to make the stainless steel smudgeproof works very well, but shortly after we bought it it started to bubble up.
4. The doors are not aligned. One is higher than the other and sticks further out.
5. It is supposed to a counter depth. That is absolutely not true. When the doors are opened all the way they will hit the edge of your counter top.
6. The doors are supposed to have a mechanism that prevents them from flying open past a 40 degree angle, unless you want them too. That "stop" does not work anymore. Now we have to hold the door in a position that will keep it from hitting the counter top.
7. By year two some sticky brown fluid had leaked out of the bottom right door hinge, causing it too creak very loudly when being opened.
I get sick to my stomach when I think that I paid $2000 for this. It is not worth more than $500.
Unfortunately due to the reputation of Electrolux in Europe we did not think that we needed to buy the extended warranty.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I had a SS Asko DW for 10 years that never looked bad. But my brand new Bosch SS DW was always looking streaky and horrible. Not sure why. It was enough to decide that I did not want to risk having a frig with the streaky front all the time. So that helped me to splurge on a paneled integrated frig. (I was half way there any rate.)
I am getting all SS appliances out of the house. I am very glad! My new SS DW has gone to the rental house. I just got a new paneled DW that I am using until the kitchen remodle starts. Then it will go in the new kitchen when the cabinets are ready. The cabinet maker made us a temporary panel until the matching panel and the rest of the cabinets come in 3 months. Much more in keeping with my household and "cleaning" needs.
I have a custom color enameled range and matching hood which has never had any issues of cleaning.... The only thing I will have in SS is the MW. It's a tiny frontage, so I will deal with it.

I am SO over stainless appliances! I think they have been over done and many of the brands' SS finishes just look plasticky and cheap.

I love the look of SS. It does take some effort to keep clean but so does my car, so what's the difference. We have a deal in my house. Wife cooks it, and I do the clean up. And that includes wiping down the granite and SS, usually the cook top and the DW. I do the oven when necessary, and can't imagine ever having to use the self clean at all, with the hidden bake elements.

We have a "great room" arrangement so I usually do the clean up while I watch the big screen TV. I sit on my butt while she cooks it and she sits on her butt while I clean it. Works for us.

I have a Fisher Paykel (RF201ADUX) 36" French Door SS fridge.

It's anti-streak and fingerprint coating works.

But don't expect any metal surface to be absolutely streak free.

Anytime you see a great photo of an appliance or car, I can guarantee that someone was cleaning right up until the photo was taken. BTW, I am a professional photographer.
