We liked the round corners, at the time, the builder just suggested them so we did. Now, after almost 3 years we still like them and have found if you bump them they don't 'fracture' like the square ones, instead, the furniture you are moving or whatever it is, just rolls off the edge. I especially like how our builder combined the 2 edges by making the top square with the round sides in all doorways and window openings.

Our next door neighbors have rounded corners. I like how they look but the owner told me it makes it hard to have different paint colors in contiguous rooms/halls because there is no good place to stop one color and start another.

I love my rounded corners and I was concerned about different paint colors in adjoining rooms but my painter made it work and it looks fabulous!

I think you'd be better off just choosing which appeals to you. Personally, it wouldn't matter if rounded corners were the clear choice in terms of painting, maintenance, etc b/c I absolutely detest the way they look. And, since either can work, choose the one you like best AND that matches your house design.
