I have lots of friends who look wonderful in Bare Minerals. It seems to give them a radiant healty glow. I, on the other hand don't like it. I gave mine to a neighbor and she was happy to get it. On me, pores looked huge and wrinkles and lines were exaggerated. I didn't like the coverage and my face burned. Of course, the colors didn't work for me either. Bare Minerals seems a bit overpriced to me, also. I tried many mineral foundation samples from the internet and most didn't do much for me but were better than BM. I did find a great one though. I love the new Merle Norman mineral makeup. It looks good on me. FINALLY!!! We're all definately not the same, and different products seem to work for different people.

Here's what I found: "100% pure crushed loose mineral foundation contains: Mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, ultramarine blue, May Contain: zinc oxide. Free of harmful ingredients such as, preservatives, bismuth, talc, dyes, carmine or fragrances"

Sorry bluelou, I don't really know about the prices. I bought it from the Sephora store because I wanted to see it and try it in person before I bought it, and then I went back to the store also for my second jar because I decided to change colors - I went one shade darker and I'm really happy with the change. It is $25 at Sephora. P.S. Bluelou - check out the craft forum, I saw your poem and asked my buddies on the cooking forum for some ideas.

with all make up you need to use a good primer...especially for bare essentials makeup. i have been using this makeup for years and my mom also uses it...once you get used to starter kit then you can start adding to your collection... for older skin a sprinkle of water on your kabuki brush then swirl and tap in you bm foundation this will go on like a liquid foundation which is recommended for older skin. you can also do this with your concealer brush slighty wet it and with your foundation this will be your concealer. bare essentials do loads of blushes so pick your colour and use this on your cheeks with some water...cream blushes are best for older skin ...you can also mix your blush with vaseline and this will be a lovely lipstick with a shine....i got the bare essentials away we glow set which has a lovely tub of turn on which is a highlighting powder...this is great for your inner eyelid and your eyebrow bone to lift your eyes...you cant go wrong with bare essentials but you can add these tips to make this makeup work for you...
