Getting reliability information from Service Companies

This is related to my thread on deciding on a 27-in oven, but is really more generic. We're considering buying a Thermador oven, but are concerned about reliability as reported here on this and several other high-end brands. Last week we visited the BSH (Thermador's parent) showroom in Denver, and the salesperson gave us the number of their local service company, and suggested that we call them with any reliability concerns.

My questions are: Has anyone done this? Do you feel you get straight answers? After all, if the product requires a lot of repairs, wouldn't that be to the service company's benefit to recommend that brand?

The questions I would ask include:

What is your experience with (brand X)?

When there are problems with the product, how difficult/time consuming is it to get parts?

What is the most common problem with (Brand X/Model Y)?

Would you recommend it versus other products/brands?

Any other questions come to mind? Or, any other way to get this information, other than through experience?

BTW, the company we got the number for is Best Service in Denver. Any other Denver recommendations? Or anyone nationally that you think might answer these questions?
