falling out eyelash

what causes eyelash to fall out - i use eye curler - is it the curler or the mascara - i use maybelline products - my lashes use to full now very thin

Eye lash curlers can do it.Because they basicly PULL on the lashes and cuz them to fall out.Just like if you pulled the hair on your head everyday,eventually it would fall out.
Also,wearing waterproof mascara ALL THE TIME can do it too.

Hair thins as we get older and that includes eyelashes.

Is the problem severe? It could be a medical condidtion that can be treated. Have it checked out.

Mascara and eyelash curlers are not a good idea to use either.

Close enough. Anything with bowerae in it is supposed to be "eyelash" begonia (little hairs along the edges) and this looks like it has a lot of bowerae in its lineage. There are a ton of hybrids with lots of names. 'Kit Kat' and 'Tiger Kitten' are two very popular ones. Yours reminds me of 'Chantilly Lace'. Here is a begonia I got that has the name of 'Dottie's Eyelashes'. It is medium sized leaves and has some "eyelashes" but don't see a lot of bowerae in it.

false eyelashes: get the cluster ones or the individual ones. use tweezers and put a dab of lash glue on your left hand. pick up lashes with tweezers, dip into lash glue on very edge and nestle lashes into your lashline, on your real lashes. continue on from middle to both sides. let it set up, then dip a lash liner brush into dark power liner or shadow and make a think line over the lashes, careful to cover any glue that might be showing. they make an eyelash remover, but you can also use warm water and let them fall off in the shower. definitely don't leave them on overnight (I have and it hurts).

I use latisse. I get a prescription from my dermatologist. It works but it is dreadfully expensive. Maybe about $150 for 2 or 3 months supply. The other downside is you have to use it every single night and cannot skip it when you just want to fall into bed. At least I follow the directions to do this as I am scared to waste this much money and not follow directions. You can also use it on sparse eyebrows so after I apply to my lashes I take the still wet brush and mush it on my brows. Takes 5 or 6 weeks to see results. I wonder if there is a cheaper, faster way albeit safe for the eyes. I recently had a spontaneous, yes, non traumatic corneal gouge(abrasion), right in the central part of the cornea.

Smhinnb, maybe that's what I did wrong-I didn't comb them out after getting wet because mine looked good for about a week and then got clumpy and didn't last very long. I also wasn't told to use oil free products. I never made it to the "fill" stage because they started bugging me-especially after my own eyelashes were growing-some of the extensions were growing too, which made then too long, so I had to eventually pull them off, which left me with hardly any of my own lashes. They also started sticking straight out very stiff-like they lost their curl. I did buy a tool to curl them (since you can't use regular eyelash curlers) but couldn't get it to work properly. But, it doesn't sound like I took care of them correctly. I have done Latisse for a couple of years now and love it. I have baby blue grayish eyes and and have never had any side effects. Also, I was told that you use half dose of what was recommended to use on (tiny) bottle and it worked wonderfully, so lasted a lot longer. eta: addt'l info

the curler definately puts strain on your lashes...and most of the lengthening, plumping, volumizing, and particularly the waterproof mascaras...well, would you use that stuff on your HAIR? really? on a daily basis?

keeping them curled and mascara'd, it's entirely possible that you've lost all perspective on what your 'natural' lashes looked like before you started the daily regimen of two coats of 'lash attack'.

the only way to know, really - is to go cold turkey. maybe for New Year's. maybe a lash 'tint' if you're particularly fair, but try it for a month, and you will do yourself two favors - you will give your lashes a chance to catch up with their growth cycle, and give YOU a chance to reaquaint yourself with what your eyes actually look like.

take before and after pictures - the camera has a much better memory than your naked eyes.
