Perfume Question

My dh loves vanilla scented perfumes/colognes, but I can't smell. I know perfumes have a lot to do with your body chemistry but could y'all give me some suggestions on what has the best vanilla scent. TIA, gabby

You said it best yourself, perfumes have a lot to do with body chemistry.

I would have your husband choose the scents he likes best, many department stores have small samples or spray sticks to try at home, and try each between showering. Let him give you the "sniff" test, and that will be your deciding factor!

Macy's and Dillards have good perfume selections, as well as smaller boutique stores like Victoria's Secret and Bath and Body Works. The sales staff can help you find the perfect scent.

Sephora has this vanilla line, have a look, seems luscious, specially if you use the body creme in combination with a light spritz.
I'm headed there next time to smell this line.

Here is a link that might be useful: vanilla scents

My Sheila's Perfume took more than a year to do well, but it has finally come into its own (I'm out of your zone). Unfortunately, if you don't want to spray against blackspot, I wouldn't recommend it. Sounds like you could use recommendations for a blackspot resistant, shade tolerant variety of a similar color.

I love this rose. My friend Hoovb on the forum suggested I get it and I am so happy I did. It is a HUGE plant. I don't mind that and I have the room. It is as you described, huge monster canes. I put it in a place I need a big plant. I don't find it that stingy with blooms, and while they blow fast in the heat, they last long enough in cooler spring and autumn weather. The smell is very beautiful, and I like to pick it. I got it specifically in the area I want to have roses for cutting for the church. For my situation and in my climate: it's a winner.

I'm in Arkansas, and it's still 85 degrees here daily right now. Mild winters and hot, humid summers that begin in May and last until the end of September. Hopefully that'll be enough?? I haven't decided if I'm going to cut them or leave them. They look awfully pretty on the plant, so I can't decide! Seil, if I decide to wait, how far down should I prune this spring? My granny was an absolute master with roses, but she is 90 now, and not able to help much. Thank you for all the great info.

Love these mini den types. I have one that I thought I lost (NOID) and it's back, fat and happy. Can't wait for it to flower. Similar in coloring to your Perfume.
