LOL, I trust my mum but I think she may have been wrong here not sure. Really water now? my neighbours say it's too early to water grass yet but I have to say I am leaning towards watering. My mum lol, yes more of her advice haha, said it's not a water problem perhaps but a thatch problem, to cut it shorter and rake it. My hubby believed her to cut it shorter so did however dethatching hasn't happened. I just took photos of our lawn but not sure if I can pos them here going to see. Can't figure out how to add a photos darnit, thanks ! Type of sod no idea it was a lawn company that came int as our whole yard got new soil and sod and posts of a fence to be put up. I sure looks like the grass is dying to me and we had not had much rain and not as much snow this winter and got very hot for a couple weeks in March and this weekend is going to be a scortcher. This is unusal for this time of year! Thanks for your response and any others that want to give advice I am all for it.

Not sure where it's located, but is there a Ouidad salon near you? I'm a hairdresser, but never got any formal training on cutting curly hair. Some experts claim it's the same as cutting straight hair, but I disagree. The problem is, there are very few classes to take on this subject. I did take a short class with Ouidad at a beauty show, but it was not hands on. I'd have to travel to New York and spend big bucks to learn from them, so I've put it on the back burner. Your best bet is to call the salons in your area, and ask them specifically if they have a curly hair expert on staff. If they say yes, book a consultation and see if you are comfortable with them. My dermatologist and plasticgardens obviously feel very differently about this topic. My son and I both have dermatitis. He has tried every over the counter dandruff shampoo to no avail. Until he switched to a mild shampoo without harsh chemicals his condition did not improve. Since switching to this shampoo he can go 2 days without washing his hair and the redness and flaking has dramatically decreased. I'm hoping the flaking will go away completely with time (he has only been using this for 3 weeks). Anyhow, our dermatologist said, use a mild shampoo with minimal chemicals and little to no fragrance added (perfume can irritate the scalp). Use conditioner only on the ends if at all. He said that harsh shampoos strip oil out of the hair and scalp, which looks good at first but causes the scalp to secrete even more oil to replace what was stripped away. So the best thing to do is use a very mild formula that will rinse out excess oil but not strip the hair and scalp. The oil production should slow down once your scalp adjusts to the shampoo. Seems to be working for us. And he recommended Cetaphil cleanser for the skin. I have been using this for 6 months (I was afraid it would make my skin oilier because it seems very rich) and I have not had a flair up of acne or rosacea in 4 months.

Also consider jasmine. There is one thriving in full summer sun along my patio. It's one of the following, I bought both and one died can't remember which. Azores Jasmine (Jasminum azoricum) A perfumed fragrance that tantalizes the senses is one of the many attributes this marvelous species brings to the container gardener. A native of the Azores, the vigorous, dense growing vines flower from spring through fall. When grown under sunny, warm conditions there is even an occasional spray of bloom during the winter. For the Jasmine or fragrant plant collector, this variety is a must. Clusters of multi-petaled, pure white blooms form on the growing tips with individual flowers emerging over several weeks. Hardy to Zone 9 and higher for outdoors. Full sun, grows to 2-3' in container, minimum temperature 50°, vining in habit, blooms in spring, summer and fall. Fragrant! Or Twisted Jasmine (Jasminum tortuosum) If you are looking for a Jasmine with fragrance and strong growth to fill your growing area, J. tortuosum is the one. This vigorous, heavy grower has clusters of delicately fragrant star-white blooms that emerge on the growing tips. Blooming throughout the year, its heaviest flowering occurs from spring through fall. Hardy to Zone 9 and higher for outdoors. Full sun, grows to 1-3’ in container, vining in habit, minimum temperature 50°, intermittent bloomer.
