Comments (44)LOL!!!! @ cello music! Dang, yer a quick'un, Major RCG! CONGRATS to Yo Mama and the Giants!!! What a GREAT upset at the last minute!! With 2:something left, I thought the Yorkies were done for. What a fun ending! My favorite commercial was a toss up between Tide's Silence the Stain and Toyota's Badger....ok, and Bridgestone's Screaming Richard Simmons. LOL But Hank the Clydesdale ("Rocky") made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Cars.com's Ring of Fire, etc., commercials were way up there, along with FedEx's Pigeons, Doritos's Kicka$$ Mouse (YIKES! LOL), and (Planter's?) Unibrow Lady. Ok, Charles Barkley's big mouth got a chuckle, too. :D Z-Chick, if you're rarin' to go next Sat. after having surgery today, then showing up at Clancy's is the least we can do! :D Hope you're feeling better soon!!! Bad toothache with an infected loose tooth here. WHAAAA! The dentist scares me a LOT, so wish me luck today....*whimper* Fi guy, thanks SO MUCH for doing this every year!!!! Comments (102)Good morning everyone! What a wonderful surprise arrived in the mail and I couldn't wait to come show it off. : ) This group is filled with Angels for sure. Wait 'till you see what our dear Barb made for Talon..... It is so soft and the love that she put into making it shows. Can you see the two birds in the pattern? Absolutely gorgeous and so unique. Barb, once again you have touched my heart and I will cherish this tiny sweater long after Talon outgrows it. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. I absolutely love it! And my DH thanks you too. Can't wait to show the rest of the family. BIG HUGS! I have been sleeping for most of the day, otherwise i'd probably be checking in more. Seems like the more sleep I get, the less contractions I have. We are so close to the 35 week mark! I'm starting to feel like getting through two more weeks to 37 will be a piece of cake. My contrax. are still very much slowed down so keep your fingers crossed. I see the doc on Tuesday. Thank you all for your sweet words about my DH. He is so concerned about the good health of the baby and wants to do all he can so that I can rest. That in combination with his never ending work schedule is wearing him out. He has lost some weight and is extremely tired. I begged him to stay home today, but he headed over to the new house at 9am. It's cold and snowy. : ( What wonderful Easter swap boxes you all are enjoying! Great job everyone. Oh, and thank you all so much for the compliments on my beautiful neice. She really is precious. And such a good girl. She slept in her "big girl" bed (crib) for the first time on Wednesday night. I had to laugh at her Mom....Jenna slept on her floor! lol. I assume she'll be camping out in there for a while until she feels comfortable. Brooklyn had been sleeping in a bassinet right next to Jenna's side of the bed. Hi Lisa! Great to see you posting. Spring really is wonderful, isn't it? A time when there is so much to look forward to. I, too, like to sit and just "breathe it all in". Jean....oh...pooor Jean.....all that snow! But such beautiful pictures. : ) The rest isn't driving me too crazy. I am enjoying time with the birdies. They have been singing songs for me and doing alot of dancing. That keeps me totally amused. : ) Carol! Where are you moving to? I remember you mentioning a while back the thoughts of a *possible* move, but I must have missed anything else you said. Your DH is gonna' have to pack & stack all your plants like Herb did for Marea. I'm really glad the Pit Bull didn't get a hold of you. Actually, i'm glad you didn't get a hold of the Pit Bull. ; ) Shirley, how nice that Brittney was able to buy her own car! She must have been very proud. My Mom has taken so many gazillions of pics of Brooklyn so far. It's really funny trying to get her to smile. Those......See MoreLet the Party Begin! xoxoxoxoxoxox
Comments (82)Anyanka, I know Cardiff & Penarth, of course - not far from here. We're all a bit temperamental, so your ex is not a-typical. And you weren't indelicate at all - thanks for anwering. Cindy, We can eat leeks, of course (in Henry V, Fluellen makes the Englishman eat one raw!). Then, having a lot of the west coast all to ourselves (and lovely it is), we have a lot of fish - particularly shellfish, like cockles. Then, there's a seaweed called 'laverbread' which those of us brought up on tend to love, fried with bacon and eggs (and others tell me they would like to use as a substitute for tarring roads.....). Our lamb is delectable: 'The mountain sheep are sweeter 'But the valley sheep are fatter, 'We therefore deemed it meeter 'To carry off the latter' (War song of the Dinas Fawr) (Peacock, I think) Welsh 'black' beef is sold in the best restaurants. Welshcakes (griddlecakes) like what Gran (Mamgu) made are always lying around, waiting to be picked at, likewise Bara Brith - literally 'sweet bread' Chips are sold everywhere - there's quite a lot of overweightness (I just coined that word) around. But we are very cosmopolitan and like to try new things all the time. Fairly recently, we have started distilling a tasty whisky called 'Penderyn', but it's very expensive. Vee has mentioned 'Brains' beer.... Pam, We are going to Llandudno next weekend for a conference with the Welsh Acadamy (Yr Academi). For the last two years, the conferences have been held there. It's a lovely place, on the north Wales coast. Most of the buildings on the sea front are Regency: walk out on to the pier and look back at the town - it shines white and very beautiful. A bit like Brighton (the best bits) but on a smaller scale. Not much Welsh spoken there (except at the conference) because it's quite near Liverpool and a favourite with our English friends. And we love poetry. Swansea Borough Council refuse-collection vehicles are the only ones I have ever seen anywhere with lines of poetry on them - mainly Dylan Thomas, of course. "Here come the 'Boys of summer' ", I say, when I see them jumping out of their vans and emptying the wayside bins along the seashore...... I'm looking forward to the St. David's Day thrash. With luck, we might have won another rugby match before then (we beat Scotland last week, but, alas, were beaten by the dreaded English (Sais) the week before) I'm training up Grendal (who is half dragon, by the way, and half something unmentionable) to behave in a courtly fashion to you all when you arrive. My word for you will be: 'Croeso!' - 'Welcome!' Dido...See Morewilliamsem
