How much should I sell these for?

When we bought our house 4 years ago, the previous owners left these behind. I am going to have a garage sale in few weeks and was wondering what I should sell them for? Do you guys think a garage sale will get me the best price or should I try to sell them a different way? Sorry the items are dusty. Thanks in advance.

Both in working order? If not what's wrong? Looks like the Victrola has been painted...that decreases the value.
They will do fine at a garage sale....IF you advertise and IF antiques are commonly sold in your area at garage sales.
Ebay is a great place to look to find out what people are willing to pay.
But if you are selling at a garage sale, you will have to advertise it well....don't expect someone to "shop", see the organ and say..."Oh...guess I'll buy that."

Hi,

I was planning to advertise. I am not sure if the record player works - don't have any records. I don't even know how it is powered. I guess I should check.

The organ works.

Cheryl - I usually sell my bunches of 20 for between $3.50-$5.00...but, our area is "cheap"...and I don't have them on wires anymore...the first year I did it people didn't know what to do with them, so I just dry them upside down in sleeves now! I also sometimes sell bags of just the heads...can't bear to throw things away! Since yours are wired, you might try selling them "per stem" or so many for a certain price...that works on single stem things for me! Good luck at your market...they're fun! Wendy

There are many frangipani trees around here but none this color. We actually have people who jump the fence when we are asleep to steal pieces from it, and the flowers have been in many weddings. I think the cuttings would be around 50cm for $30 which i think is way to much... Maybe $20 would be better, and price goes up as they get bigger.. She wont listen though haha

It's all about what the market will pay. I'd suggest you cruise around on ebay looking for similar items (maybe search a term like folk art?). I imagine they take more time to make than you will get compensated for, so I hope you are doing it as much for the fun as for the money :-) Actually, putting a couple on ebay with a low reserve or no reserve would be a good way to do a value test. The Victrola is wind up....you should have a crank in one of those compartments....and some needles that fasten to the arm in another box under the lid. If not than its' not complete.

I had a Story & Clark organ, much fancier than the one you have pictured, that I couldn't even give away. DH tore it apart and saved some of the wood. Good luck finding a buyer
