If you would post a picture of the platter with also a picture of the back stamp, you will get more accurate information.....and likely more of it. For example, Mason's back stamp has evolved over the years....as to type of crown etc....so in order to give you an assessment someone needs to find a website that tells when that pattern was produced.....and frankly you could do that your self. The way you have posted someone has to have 2 browsers open and flip back and forth between the pictures and your descriptions. Off the top of my head, without any research, the platters are of no particularly high value....but for the Mason's. That's a jewel!

Certainly the incoming temp would be a concern. We are in central Al and we have winter but our ground water never gets as cold as Lake Michigan ! Our water heater is a tankless gas Noritz. They have a great website. Also all the folks I know who have Rinnai love there's too. They are becoming very common here in this area. I think that we would not have hot water if there was a power failure as there is an electric component ??? It has a digital box that I have next to my washing machine . I am no Einstein so I don't know and we never lose power except the very rare midnight few minutes thing...I'll have to run have a shower and see. LOL.
