Someone running at 60 m.p.h. in a blizzard gives a fairly substantial indication of having a death-wish. Anyone here from MN ... or points west ... some similar viewpoints? Several of them fit with us Ontarians (including the Windsorites, who live south-[east] of Detroit). ole joyful P.S. Do people who live north of Mackinac consider themselves rather UPpity? o j

I live in CT and still order frequently from KA in Vermont. We take semi-annual mini-vacations that includes a stop at KA's retail store in Norwich but seems there's always something during the year that I need (want?!). lol I'm using their organic unbleached flour and it's not yet available in stores and because of shipping costs on heavy items we get that spring/fall on our trips but it's the little stuff like cookie supplies they always seem to get me on. lol I order 'Tamaya Blue' roasted blue cornmeal from the Pueblo of Santa Ana in New Mexico once a year. Probably a good 60% of our food storage (all the basics) is mail ordered. Periodically, I order from Bob's Red Mill - not regularily scheduled though. When we first moved to New England I went into withdrawals 'cause there was no Mexican food available - not even a Taco Bell (can you imagine?!). So, I had quarterly care packages sent from 'home' and that's when I first got serious about learning to cook the cuisine. I order enough food mailorder that the recycle guys that pick up our cardboard on Thursdays are on my Christmas cookie list! :) /tricia

Root beer floats or orange soda and vanilla ice cream or grape soda and vanilla ice cream. Stewarts ice cream must be a regional thing as i've never heard of it. Have never heard of pine floats or apple sherbet. So do tell, what is a pine float?? Kathi

@larsi, You mentioned in a previous comment that the rinse cycle works better in your 60 than it did in your 70 washer. Would you say that your clothes didn't feel well rinsed in your 70 series? I originally purchased the 60 series, but cancelled the order when I found a 70 series for just about the same price at another store... Now, after reading your review, I'm feeling a tad bit of regret that I just didn't keep my 60 series order.... I hated that my LG always seemed to make everything feel like they needed to be rinsed again! Even when using less soap.. The whole reason I even considered an Elux is because of the Fresh Water rinse.. but I really want clothes to be thoroughly rinsed and feel clean of dirt and soap! What are your thoughts??? Should I go back to a 60 series?..
