Can I Use Epilator Made For Legs On My Face

I bought an epilator thinking it was for whatever hair you wanted to use it on. I read the instructions and it said do not use on face. Apparently, it is for legs and armpits, but not faces. I called the company, but they couldn't tell me much other than it is not made for faces. Why are you not supposed to use it on faces? It is a corded model from Remington. They told me they have a cordless for the face, but I want something with a cord. That's why I bought this one. Will I damage my face? What is the reason you aren't supposed to use on your face? Anyone know? Or has anyone use one on their faces that the instructions say not to use on their face?

It's probably so they can sell you another one to use on your face. LOL. I'd try it and see if it's painful? Maybe too rough? I don't really know. Hair is hair. But skin can be more sensitive in areas.

sameboat,

I was wondering the same thing....if they were just trying to sell people two by saying you have to have this one for your legs and this other one for your face. But if there is a reason other than making money for them I would like to know. I was thinking, too, hair is hair. Anybody out there used their legs only epialotr on their faces? Or know why they say not to use it on your face?

About 12 years ago I used an epilator for a year. Ended up with lots of ingrown hairs. Not sure if that's normal or just me! You do have to let hair grow long enough for the epilator the catch it and pull it out. I used wax now, and am noticing some ingrown hairs, but not as many as with the epilator. What type of epilator are you thinking of using? The one I used had a coil that went in a loop and as the coils moved through the loop, they'd catch the hair and pull it out.

I was at someone's house recently that had a lab with an inflated tube around his neck. It was an alternative to the e-collar. I have no idea if this would work with a cat - in fact, the more I think about it, it probably wouldn't since cats have wet noodles for bones. The times I've tried using those collars on my cats, it hasn't worked. I think cats really depend on their whiskers, and probably their peripheral vision, too, so that those collars really mess them up, as Naturegurl said. Sally

It would be a shame to paint over the detail on top. If you want to get down to bare wood, I like CitriStrip. It much less toxic than methyl hydrate, but I've still always used it outside. I've found best results if I apply it more like frosting than paint, cover with plastic to seal it, and let it sit for at least 24 hours. The old finish should be wrinkled and fairly easy to scrape off with a plastic putty knife. Rinse with water, dry immediately (you don't want a lot of water soaking into the table), repeat if necessary.

My Remington epilator is identical to the Remington EP-1000 (it's corded and is for legs, face, etc.) I've had mine for several years & love it. Take a look at that model on Amazon (the photo doesn't appear as corded, but mine is identical otherwise.... does yours look similar?
