Coca Cola Cooler Planter
Comments (7)That will be a fine looking planter! My ideas might not work for Georgia weather. But you need both height and something to trail over the edges in something that big I believe. Unless you are in a very windy spot then tall could be a problem. Lobelia or petunias to trail over (petunias might fit the scale better), tall dahlias in the center maybe with a tall grass, profusion zinnias for the mid range. Or that green and white varigated trailer for the edges. Have fun! I'm jealous. Kathy...See Morecases of coke/pepsi material
Comments (10)Well, I did contact the Coca Cola Company, and here is their response: Thank you for contacting The Coca-Cola Company. We appreciate the opportunity to respond. The inks on our cartons are water-based and are 50% water. Additionally, they are soluble. Due to this fact, we see no reason why you could not compost the carton in a garden. If you have any additional comments, please feel free to contact us again. Lesley Industry and Consumer Affairs The Coca-Cola Company My personal decision is to compost them. I am in love with the idea of putting them to use at my own house. Like I said, I have a lot of these cartons. My husband "drinks" Coca Cola all of the time. ("Drinks" means that he pops open the can, forgets where he leaves it, pops open another can, etc, etc., then I pour the rest in the drain, and recycle the can.) The carton itself says that is it recyclable, which I do all the time the conventional way. The other factor in my decision is the fact that I have been exposed to pesticides all of my life, more than I like to think about. A little water-based soluble ink in my compost is fine with me. My way of life is gearing more and more toward Simple Organic Living (http://www.voiceyourself.com). For right now I am happy with that. Thank you for all of your responses. Comments (34)Over 30 years ago,I worked in a restaurant with a soda fountain area. They had every flavor syrup you could imagine,in pump bottles. I tried coke with every flavor, vanilla, cherry, lemon, lime, pineaple, etc, etc. Coca cola with vanilla syrup was delicious. But I have tried sweetened Vanilla coke and it's just not as good. Comments (2)What if you got a ceiling lamp with a big barrel shade and put a coke themed picture on it, like on this desk lamp. (see link below) There are also places that tell you how to make your own ceiling lamps that you could then add the coke theme to, such as by cutting the bottom off a coke bottle and having that be the "stem" of the lamp that comes down from the ceiling. Goo d luck. I hope you post a pic when you have done it. Kathy Here is a link that might be useful: Coca cola desk lamp...See Morevwhippiechick
