Permanent Mascara Solution/Question

Does anyone know of any product that is safe to use to dye eylashes? I have a real problem using mascara. I wear 'hard" contact lenses and always seem to get bits of mascara under the lenses. It feels like a chunk of lead and really hurts causing tearing, snearing etc. I end up looking like a raccoon--LOL

I use only water soluable mascara and never anything with fibers or lengthening formulas or waterproof.

I've been using Maybeline Big lash approved for contact lens wearers, but still have a lot of problems.

My lashes are light, short & almost non-existant, so I really need to use SOMETHING. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any safe product to use to dye eyelashes??

Hmmm, some salons will dye lashes but the dye probably fades and it will of course grow out as new lashes come in.

How about good old fake lashes?

Thanks for the suggestion Gina about the fake lashes. I'm such a klutz doing my own makeup, I don't think I'd want to tempt fate with that one--LOL

I was thinking of maybe trying a food coloring dye. I don't mind the fading or having to touching up often, it's just that I have so much trouble with almost any kind of flaking that regular mascara gives off. I don't even use
Q-tips around my eyes because of the fibers.

Frankly, I see sides as an impediment to production not to mention the cost of materials and the labor. We have twenty 150 foot long beds each 5 feet wide. This would require 6,200 feet of construction material--well over a mile of it. When weeds, particularly perennials, get established under and around the construction material the going can get real tough especially if you want to be organic. Also construction materials are rough on the knees when kneeling at the beds to plant and weed. Please check our website for details on our raised beds with sloping sides. I think the whole concept of permanent eyeliner is fantastic and really not new by any means. Wasn't Cleopatra using some type of permanent makeup? I am not sure how they did that in those days, but I guess that fact that someone is coming near my eyes with needles scares me a little. Having my lips or brows done would be a bit of a different story for me though. The only problem to me with that is, some days I like the way I put on my makeup and other days, my eyeliner does not look as good to me. What if, you don't like the way the permanent eyeliner is put on. Then you have to live with it for a long time. I guess if I was younger, I would think about it more. I am glad all of you that have had it done love it. Good for you!!

Laura, So sorry you are having a tough time finding a CP loan. I do understand what you are going thru since we went thru very similarly hard time finding our CP loan. Next best advice is to lock into an ARM with the lowest possible fees and that will cost you the least in interest during construction, no matter what the final rate is. Then, figure out who you will be using to refi to a Fixed and have them help you keep a VERY close eye on the rate market. If they start to rapidly deteriorate, you can lock into a long lock period for a Fixed rate refinance ... you will go ahead and be underwritten and will close on the refi into a Fixed as soon as your construction is finished. This lender or broker needs to be someone who has access to Mortgage Baked Securities market that they can monitor the movement for you. Rate lock periods can generally be for up to 60 days. Some lenders will allow 90 day locks. Other lenders will allow even longer lock periods with an upfront fee. Keep in mind .. I'd try waterproof masacara, or even a different brand with stronger staying power. Great Lash comes off rather easily. You should find the waterproof types of mascara stay on a lot better... only problem is you will need to find a really good eye makeup remover. Does your mascara come off if you use your eye creams as removers? I'm guessing with Great Lash, yes. Great Lash makes great Lashes but it comes off with ease... too much ease for some people. With your creams (even just your natural oils), etc... you are more or less "using" an eye make up remover of sorts so when your eyes blink the masacara is coming off and staying under your eye. If you use a waterproof type, it usually takes a lot more to get the mascara off so it shouldn't come off so easily and create the racoon eyes. My best friend used to use Great Lash and by the end of the night her eyes seriously looked ridiculous. All the mascara was off her lashes and under her eyes... I'm like "Can't you see yourself. Try a different masacara"!

I'm a soft contact lense wearer and I've worn Estee Lauder More than Mascara for many years. It's the one mascara that hasn't caused problems with flakes in my eyes. I know hard lense wearers are probably more sensitive.

I have been getting my eyelashes dyed regularly for years. Make sure you go to a licensed person who really knows what she is doing and obviously do not wear your contacts while she dyes the lashes.

And yes it wears out and you have salt and pepper eyelashes for a while but the positive side is that every morning you wake up with really black lashes and nothing ever runs.
