I didn't read the whole thread because it's very long but I wanted to tell you about my experience. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I thought Ebay was a good idea... Or maybe it was Amazon, I can't remember. Anyways, I bought the Premium but it turns out that it was pointless the "kit" I bought wasn't a whole kit, it didn't have as many strips as the full kit has. And THAT is why Premium costs more, I spent more money on something that was the exact same as the regular kit. Also, they sent them out of the box to "save me money on shipping" and so, there was no expiration date. I used them, they made no difference, didn't even burn like they did when I bought them the last time but from a store and I couldn't prove they were old because they no doubt lied about the expiration date. Be careful with your money. The ones I bought from the store actually did work though and they worked well. They didn't burn as much as the trays do.

I use Crest Whitestrips. They work REALLY REALLY well but I buy mine from my dentist. They are a much higher strength than you can buy at the drug store. My dentist told me to quit wasting my money on that other stuff and try the professional strength Whitestrips, so I did. WOW! Made a huge difference and I am a coffee and soda drinker. The strips are pretty thin and do not ooze. Even if I do get some solution in my mouth due to saliva, it doesn't really have a taste at all. I put mine on in the shower where I am less likely to talk and move them around:) Sometimes they slip a bit, but they still cover the area they are supposed to, so no harm done. My dentist also told me NOT to use them on clean teeth otherwise they will definitely not stick. So, I put them on, take my shower, when my 30 minutes is up (and by the time I shower, dry, lotion it is time) I remove them and brush my teeth for the day. I love them! Good luck! Heidi

My hubby (who is generally terrified of the dentist) has done the ZOOM whitening as part of a larger dental process. He had let his dental care slide a bit because of his apprehension and needed quite a bit of work, including some white composite fillings in the front. I helped him find a highly recommended, highly qualified dentist who was understanding and respectful of his anxiety. She recommended the whitening procedure as the first step in his process. He definitely needed it, and it enabled the dentist to "match" the composite material to the natural color of his teeth at their cleanest state. He achieved fantastic results. I do understand that the process can be painful for people with sensitive teeth, but in our experience it certainly doesn't have to be - - his dentist gave him a de-sensitizing gel to use for 20 minutes each day for a week before his treatment. Hubby said if he felt anything he would call it a 'bit of heat', no pain at all. The results for him have been incredible, and he is very pleased and so much more confident with his smile. His dentist has been awesome through the entire process, and has totally changed Hubby's overall opinion of the 'dental experience'. I think that is the key - finding a competent, well trained and highly qualified professional. The cost of the ZOOM procedure was $250. I'm currently wearing braces, but plan to look into whitening as soon as I'm able. I am actually thinking about moving all of my regular dental business to Hub's new dentist, because she's been outstanding.

I don't need to worry about cleaning teeth. Even though my dogs eat kibble most of the time (Ultra Lamb and Rice), they get, at a minimum, one raw turkey drumstick each on the weekends. Some weeks they are lucky and I buy them turkey thighs, also. They have beautiful teeth. Works for cats, too (with chicken parts). Back when I got my older dog he was 2 or 3 years old and his teeth were COVERED with tartar. There was hardly any white showing. If he chewed on something, his teeth would even bleed. That night I got him (Saturday) I started feeding him raw chicken parts. By the time his Monday vet appointment came around, his teeth were looking so much better that the vet didn't hardly comment on them. He just said that if they get any worse that they WOULD need cleaning in the future. Well, after two weeks you'd never know they were so terrible in the beginning. I really think that this was a worst case scenario when I got him and he really turned around.
