Thanks to Dawn's awesome generosity, I got a basquillion different tomato seeds, so I'm trying 6 (plus I kept 3 other types for later in case I kill these), peppers, cucumbers (I think I was supposed to wait until later for them), several different basils, 4 or 5 other herbs, portulaca & some other flower. Plus I've been reading about wintersowing, so I decided to try hollyhocks, cosmos, columbine, & 4 oclocks (which are all supposed to be ok for wintersowing). And I divided my black shamrock plant last fall & I've been growing them in little pots all winter. And to top it all off, I have a bunch of houseplants that a co-worker gave me because she didn't want to keep them anymore. Oh well, if I murder them, I'll just try again. Besides, what else do I need windowsills for? & if they live, my yard & porch will be pretty.

THANK YOU everyone who suggested watering my plant. It was dehydrated! I didn't want to reveal at first that I had lopped off the claws to see if it was rotting inside - but I did *gasp!* So, now it's not as pretty as it was, but I can see new growth coming! Oh I am so so excited. It's still not leaking sap when I poke it, but it's not dead! I'll post some pictures later if you promise not to be disappointed that I cut the top off :-D Sam

Im doing a complete remodel of my home and need some advice on how i should finish the facing of the porch peak. I put a copper top on the roof and plan on using azek trim the frame out the front but not sure how i should fill in the center.. Should i use the siding? or is there a design of some sort that may work..

Here's another option that has more storage, keeps the MW off the counter, allows you to have the standard-depth refrigerator you showed in your first layout, and has plenty of workspace where it's needed most. It also has 3 seats at the peninsula. Work Zones: The NKBA minimum recommendations: 42" work aisle for a one-person Kitchen and always a one-person (48" if more than one person will ever be working on the aisle -- prepping, cooking, cleaning up, unloading the DW) 15" clear leg/knee overhang space for counter-height seating Just an FYI, the aisle b/w the refrigerator and island in the most recent layout you posted above is only 33" wide when you account for the 30" depth of most counter-depth refrigerators (depth of refrigerator box + doors + handles + required air clearance behind them). I have 32.5" b/w my refrigerator and the end of the peninsula and it's far too narrow! It's one of my main regrets in my Kitchen (caused by a measuring error on my KD's part - it was supposed to be 42".) It's a definite bottleneck!
