Bgol, There is a safety device in the connector just before the regulator. There is a small ball that will stop or restrict the flow from the tank to the regulator. It is designed to stop flow if the hose ruptures, etc. If the tank valve is opened too fast, you will send the little ball crashing into the end of the fitting nearest the regulator where it might stick and restrict the flow. While you are wating for a response from Grand Hall or a new regulator, you can try this. If you are mechanically inclined, unscrew the fitting from the regulator. Try to blow both forward and backward through the fitting. If you can't free the ball this way, tap the tank end of the fitting on a piece of wood. If that does not work, you can try to gently push the ball back with a small wire. Be careful not to damage the small spring in there. If you get to this point, you may get it working but should replace the regulator under waranty. If you get the ball unstuck, reattach everything. Use some sealer (teflon, etc from the hardware store) on the threads going into the regulator. Good luck, Bill

I just purchased this grill because Sam's dropped the price to under $700 for their end of the season. You had better have PLENTY of STRONG people to help you get it to where you want it. It weighs over 400 lbs in the crate. VERY well packed. It doesn't require hardly any assembly though. My original Members Mark has given me years of service since I purchased it 5 years ago. I fired the new one up and the temp climbed to 600 really fast. I haven't tried the oven or the sear burner yet. It looks really cool with the blue panel lights on at night. Anyway, I hope this gives me the service my other on did.... BTW I sold my old one to the guy who helped unload it for $150. Makes for a great deal now.

I've had my eyes on the Member's Mark grill at Sam's for a couple years now... My Sam's sold their last one about 2 months ago... then they got the other model with the enamaled steel lid, and smaller cooking space... I had very little interest in that model... However... after a month or two absense, my local Sam's club just got about 10 new Member's Mark grills in stock. This after they've alread started stocking Christmas stuff... So... I know for sure that some Sam's Club stores are still getting these grills in... One thing always has me scratching my head on these MM grils, is the cooking grate... those 'bars' must be hollow tubes, as they are not all that solid it seems. I can easly bend them with my bare hands... I'm not sure it's a problem, but just something I noticed... Theose grates would probably also weigh about twice as much if they were solid... Anyone ever bend their grates on these grills when using a little extra elbow grease when brushing these grates off?

And, U R shocked?! Who has purchased a "Charm-Glow?" Do U think that is what your parents had 4, years? It is not. The old Co. is now caled MHP or Modern Home Products. I grew up in Antioch Il and did the wife's hair 35 years a go. I just purchased a a MHP, all infrared, and could not B more pleased. I live in Weber country and I could not B more pleased to get rid of the Webber. That thing never worked and over the last 12 years I spent over $ 1,200, tryning to get the thing 2 work. I will never have 1 again. U have 2 do your home work B 4 making your purchase. The new MHP grill was $1,400. Not cheap, but worth it.
