Need technical help with Toilet Tissue holder replacement
Comments (1)You might try using a file to create a small groove in the round mounting plate in which you can wedge the pointed end of the set screw. If you tighten the screw into a crevice or groove, it won't be able to rotate. I have TP holders made by Ginger with a similar mounting system. So far, after more than 3 years, I haven't had any problems. You might want to look at the offerings from Ginger. Prices are a little on the high side....but it's top quality stuff. Comments (2)We're amazed as well. At the point though it's try to resolve the issue with the current toilet(s) or replace them. Smell is not related to use. Can not flush for a few days and it's no different than if we flush 10x a day. Flush is fine on both toilets. There's no smell from any other plumbing fixture in the house - just the toilets. We are at the point of pouring bleach into the tank itself on a daily basis for a couple weeks days to see if this resolves it. Certainly it's the least expensive approach. If not, we'll be onto replacing them....See Morehow do you replace a pink toilet?
Comments (76)My son & DIL bought a house recently with pinky beige bathroom fixtures. My DIL painted her bath a muddy greige color with subtle green undertones (sometimes looks grayish, depends on the lighting). I'm surprised how great the fixtures look with with the wall color. She added chocolate brown towels & brown shower curtain, and they work well too. We were both leery of the color when the sample went up, thinking it might be muddy & blah, but for lack of alternative, she used it anyway. It's turned out to be a great neutral: calm, contemporary, and very clean looking. Greige with green undertone sure rejuvenated those old pinky beige fixtures. (The next time my DIL speaks about color, I'm listening -- this gal is GOOD!)...See MoreNewby question re: replacing toilet without changing floor
Comments (6)Probably. It should be pretty easy to detect whether there are cut edges to the tile around the base of the toilet. I'm guessing you'll be fine. Even a lazy person would have recognized that it takes a lot longer to tile around a toilet than it does to pull the toilet, tile the floor continuously, and put the toilet back....See MoreMongoCT
