DO NOT BUY BRINKMANN! I loved my ProSeries 2720 the first year. That's all I can say that's been positive. Been a downhill battle of trying to get parts ever since! I have also been waiting months for a part (Main Burner Support) and while it stated it was on backorder, it had a date that it would be available. So I give a credit card, it's charged immediately, and for MONTHS I keep getting new updated dates of when they'll have this instrumental part. As soon as the date gets close, they add another 4-5 weeks to the "anticipated" date. Don't waste your time trying to call them either... They must have one person, part time who hates their job answering phones, so they DON'T. Every time I've tried getting through to them on the phone, I've listened to the "on hold" music for 40 -45 minutes (real time... timer on my office phone) with no one ever picking up. If you email "customer service" (I use the term loosely in their case) they respond with rude and abrupt answers. STEER CLEAR OF BUYING BRINKMANN. The are really one of the worse companies (grills or otherwise) that I've ever bought from. I won't make the mistake of buying anything from them ever again! Steer clear from this company who doesn't care at all about the end-user (you and me) who actually use their grills, but only how many they sell to the Big Box stores, like Wal-Mart, Lowes, Menards, etc....

Koi pond 2010, Okay your two 90 degree elbows equal 16 ft of 3" pipe. I assume that you may use a bulkhead fitting and each of those will add to the length of the pipe. Then all the fittings connecting to the bulkhead will add to the pipe length. Also the fact that water is going from a large area to a pipe and then back to a larger volume adds to the length of the pipe. You could easily get to 30 or 40 ft of 3" pipe. At 30 ft the SC will drop about 2 inches at 2400 gph and at 40 ft it will drop about 2.5 inches. Now looking at the possible air bubble entrapment. Air bubbles are trapped either at elbows or in horizontal runs of pipe that have a high point in the center of the run. The way to fix these problems is the elbows coming out of the filter are replaced with a tee with the through branch of the tee being vertical. The highest end of this tee is left open to the air so that any air inside the pipe can get out. Any elbow that does not turn the water to a downward direction is not problem. The other place you can have a problem with an elbow is where it empties into the pond. If the elbow is on the pond side of the edge of the liner then a small hole can be drilled in the top of the bend of the elbow and the air will bleed off. If water comes out this hole it will flow into the pond. If it is not in this position then it becomes more complicated but can be done. On the tee installation a small piece of pipe may have to be put in the open end to keep the possibility of water coming out. Mike

How old is it? Source of the oil leak? How welldoes it run? Ever been serviced? What brand of engine ? Mine(Generac) does NOT run well but at least leaks no oil, but it is only 5 or so...

Drew, Was your bad vibe in Milford by any chance? Prices there are a few hundred more than in Meriden, and I really liked everyone I spoke to in Meriden. I found prices in New Milford to also be high. I am not able to install the insert myself, and New Milford was $100 more than I'll be paying, just for installation. I don't anticipate any problems with the installation. The dealer won't even set up an installation appointment until/unless the stove or insert is at the dealership. Which is one reason the Harman insert was just going to take too long to arrive. The price of natural gas in CT (SCG) went up 31% per ccf just this last month (versus the previous month). And it is going to go higher. I think that buying a wood burning insert was a smart thing to do! If natural gas prices go up as high as they are predicting, the insert will definitely pay itself off within 2 years. Anyway, good luck with your Pacific Summit insert. I am sure you will enjoy it! I will add an addendum to this post in November, when my insert is installed. Hopefully I'll have a couple of cords of wood by then, though I have enough to burn for at least a couple of weeks now.
