I would swim the cold Tennessee River for one taste of a good ole Brandywine...mine have been gone for several months and all i have are a couple dozen quarts of canned ones and sweet memories... cant wait till spring. anyways i am an lod country boy and for as long as i remember i have had a big garden. tomatos being the focal point. i average 200-300 plants a year. about four years ago i discovered Brandywine tomatoes which blew my celeberties, betterboys, rutgers etc away. i have since that time grown a few varities of heirlooms including german pink or queen and brandywine. i love their taste and i want to expand my heirloom section to include caspian pink, cherokee purple and black krim. is this a good idea for a southeastern Tennessee garden? what are yalls experiences with these three? any other suggestions? note I market alot of these at my local farmers market and have a large group that buy only my tomatoes as im the only one to offer heirlooms. thanks and Merry Christmas
