Wonderful tomatoes that I'd like to grow next year

I had three tomato plants that sprouted in the compost pile. I let them go and they produced an abundance of fruit. I pulled the plants when there were mostly green tomatoes, some starting to blush as we were going to get a hard frost. I saved all the tomatoes wrapped in newspaper. We will eat our last tomatoes on Thanksgiving Day! The coloration wasn't red but the taste is wonderful and the skins weren't thick. If I save some of these seeds, what are my chances of planting this unknown variety?
