Please Help Identifying Silver Plate

Hello. I am trying to find out information on this plate that was my grandparents. It comes in a presentation box with Santa winking. It has the word "Tannenbaum" on front, also on front might be the mark. On back it has H.M. Inc. .999 F.S. #30 1975. To me it looks like a combination of silver and pewter, when I tap it it actaully sounds like tin. Any help in identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like one of those alloy plates...Armetal is one and there are others. They are alloys of aluminum copper, nickle and who knows what else. Yours was obviously made by HM company...but I don't know what that stands for. I suspect it was some sort of an annual Christmas edition thing and this was from 1975.
Companies did this for orginazations etc as a fundraiser. My little town of 15,000 had one commissioned with an image of the court house years ago....sold out....and now they are bringing well more than the $20 they cost originally....at least in this town!
Any clues knowing where your grandparents lived in 75?

Thank you Linda....it is so beautiful just to look at!!! It is about 9" in diameter...the engraving and cutwork are on the first 3" in and then there is a well at the center similar to a rimmed soup bowl, but with a much wider rim.... Think I will just "sit it out" and enjoy it! Thanks again for your time and info!!

There are 6 Marks #1 The first mark looks like two columns or two I's. Then there appears to be a line above that. Then there appears to be the top to the columns above that. #2 Maybe a C... or a G... or an O ? #3 ? #4 There is a C... and a small O next to it. Then there is a line under the small O. #5 This is a large S. #6 There is an S and an A beside it. It looks like a C under the SA. Also... I have several magnifying glasses and was holding the piece in different lights trying to read the marks. I just noticed "under a magnifying glass" there are faint numbers barely into the surface... under the markings reading: 25-11-298-75 The numbers are very nicely printed. I have been doing some research, but it doesn't quite make sense to me...perhaps the EPC stands for Ernesto Perez-Carrillo? He is a Cuban-American Master Cigar Maker. What puzzles me is that he is known for his cigars, and from what I have read, he has not made any cases (other than the wooden humidors his cigars come in). *Edited to add that I am still convinced that EPC stands for electroplated copper. I'm still trying to figure out this site. I tried to post asking help ID'ing some chairs but though I have posted the picture 3 times I do not see the thread.
