thanks guys. I do feel terrible, like I may as well have smashed the poor little guy with a hammer, if in fact that monster did eat him. I know it's my fault..I never should have brought that Frodo here. catherinet, I am hoping that as well..but I have searched everywhere. He's so small, maybe I overlooked him? hopefully! mondotomhead, yes, cute little Artie would fit in Frodo's mouth. The only thing I dont understand is how in the world would he swallow him? How wide are Bullfrog's throats? As wide as their mouths? I know they can eat birds, and have been known to eat baby turtles, but how in the world do they get them down their throats??? The only thing I can figure is that they are like snakes. That frog is DEF fatter. My 10 yr old DD was so mad yesterday she said she wanted me to cut the frog open and see if Artie is in there, just so we'd know. EEWWW! NO WAY! Too gross, I couldnt even do that in HS, lol. There are no fish missing yet. I wasn't able to get the guy back to his home yet, but hopefully tomorrow he'll be gone. Maybe I'll give him to DH's uncle..he likes frog legs, lol. O and mondotomhead, Artie is too small to get out of the pond..the only place he can go out of the pond is to travel up to the stream/waterfall. He's just too small to climb the rocks to get all the way 'out'..or so I thought..maybe he did! I checked the lotus pond, he's not in there either. I even picked up all the lotus' surface leaves to look. I checked under every plant, behind every rock thinking maybe he fell head down and was stuck not being able to upright himself.. I hope he's OK and comes back once Evil Frodo is gone.

She was a little but I think I kind of turned her off from plants. Early on I contradicted everything she wanted to do in the yard. She always wanted to put things where they would be most asthetically pleasing and I always wanted to put things where I thought they would thrive. I want to spend all my money on plants and cutting down trees and she wants me to do crazy stuff with it, like fix the house :) I've since seen the er in my ways but recovery has been a slow process. I'm trying to get her back into it. I spend alot of time out in the yard and I would like to be able to enjoy that with her. That's a shame about Artie. I remember when I was a boy, my Grandpa ran over a massive bullfrog with his tractor. As soon as I found it I was obsessed with catching one that big. Every weekend I would spend all day crawling through the 16 inch corogated drain pipe under his driveway but they were way too quick for me. Ah, the good ole days. Thanks Lucy, I think she's pretty understanding. She just likes to give me hell. I do need to spend a little less time on here though. She has brought it to my attention that because I am a man, I am incapable of multi tasking. If my mind is elsewhere I literally cant hear her. Ladies, go easy on your men in these situations. I swear we cant even help it. Ya'll cant just start up idle conversation. You must first snap us out of our trance :) Apparently, while women are more adept to multi tasking due to evolving to clean house/ hut/ tee pee, taking care of youngins, preparing dinner, men evolved to focus extremely well on one thing, catching dinner. Had a crazy friend once. He and a buddy were going to go frog gigging one night. But they stopped by the local watering hole (which was attached to an upscale restaurant) before they set out through the sloughs and bayous. The two had too many tasty adult beverages and decided not to go gigging. My friend asked the restauranteur for some uncooked frog legs to take home, so DW wouldn't know where he had spent the evening. The restaurant owner gave him a package of frog legs wrapped in white freezer paper. When my friend got home, he threw the package in the freezer. The next morning he told his wife that he had already cleaned the frog legs, wrapped then and put them in the freezer. She got them out to have for dinner several days later. She thawed them and unwrapped them to cook for dinner. Imagine the look on her face ... and his...when they saw the legs were not only cleaned, they were already breaded! BUSTED!

Steve..That's too funny..I might give it a try too...Those bags of leaves you have there, people about here throw them to the curb side...Me on the other hand, I collect them and insulate all my plants in ground and around the base of my greenhouse..Good thinking..
