I think it is a Striped Cave Racer scientific name = (Elaphe taeniura) It is non- venomous

Not sure what it is but definitely not a tulip or Spanish bluebell. If it flowers show us another pic. Very wild guess might be Galtonia candicans????

We had a dog that liked to dig, and one time managed to dig about two feet under the slab of the house. Solution. We went down to the store and bought a 20 foot roll of chicken wire. we then staked the chicken wire down along the house through the area the dog liked to dig. Grass grew into the chicken wife and it became invisible. Since it was originally secured to the ground by "u" shaped stakes an and later the grass you could mow over it. If you wanted to plant in the area, it was a matter of cutting a small hole in the chicken wire and planting the bush. This stopped the dog from digging and solved our problem. So you may consider a similar solution. I often wonder what the people who bought the house thought when they realized the extent of the chicken wire.

I did do a reverse search. My dilemma is I've found several pieces similar but not identical. I know very little about antiques. If I like a piece, I buy it. My husband did some digging and said Dali marble, rosewood, Qing Dynasty throne chair. It makes sense, however, he asked the antique store owner and after a quick glance at one picture, the gentleman said throw it in a fire. I love the piece and plan to keep it but if it's an antique throne chair I will probably not use it on the outside covered porch to have plants on it. It is a solid piece with no nails. It's very heavy and the marble has natural bumps in it. After looking under the seat the marble says 19.14 not 1914. Not sure if that makes any difference
