How 'bout trading alt-tech links or book titles?

Hi,

I'm hoping to find some more good alternative-tech and renewable-energy links.

Here are some that people here might enjoy and get something out of (since I'm offering a trade, I'll put something forward):

Australia's alternative technology association:

http://www.ata.org.au/

Alternative Energy newsletter for research professionals:

http://www.inboxrobot.com/news/AlternativeEnergy

Centre for Alternative Energy (European):

http://www.cat.org.uk/

E.U. alternative energy ("intelliegent energy"):

http://europa.eu.int/comm/energy/intelligent/index_en.html

One thing I'd really like to find is a good, affordable, fairly recently published overview *book* discussing where the major energy alternatives (wind, solar, geo-thermal, micro-hydro, etc.) stand, in terms of levelof tech development and cost-effectiveness. More-or-less today. Anything published in the last four or five years would probably do.

I've searched Amazon, but there are so many titles there that it is hard to make a choice based on the reviews given. Also, a lot of the better ones look very pricey. Some are high-priced, I can see, due to the fact they are intended for engineers -- and I'm just a wide-reading, interested layperson-handyman.

Suggestions?

But, to be sure, I'm also interested in good links. Thanks in advance.

Joel
