Chippies, goldfinches, and bluebirds, Oh MY! Nice pictures, Kara! I still haven't seen a single goldfinch this year, but I suspect the big, fat HAWK who sits in the center of my bird feeder tray in the afternoons is the main reason, haha. I wouldn't want to dine there, either. I have seen a few chipping sparrows, like yours, and my cardinals, and today a hummingbird, but most of my songbirds and migrating friends are lying low, hoping the hawk will leave. Marcia

Yep. That's a Limpkin. Another nice shot. I really would like to know what set-up you are using to get these pics. Ging

dont you just love american white pelicans!! they are so graceful in flight. ou wouldn't know it to look at them!

Nice looking plant Matt. What size pot are you growing it in? The one I had was a mistake. For Xmas one year, I saw some nice looking Dieffenbachia plants at Home Depot and my youngest daughter wanted to know what I wanted that year. I told her the big dumb canes from HD would be nice. She picked up a white BOP instead and I was kind of stuck for a few years until I was through trucking it into the greenhouse for winter and back outdoors for summer. Has anyone gotten a giant BOP to bloom as a houseplant? https://www.ourhouseplants.com/plants/strelitzia Here is a modest sized clump of giant BOP at Discovery Cove, Orlando in bloom (there is another tropical plant with similar looking blooms but much bigger - Travelers Palm - Ravenala madagascariensis but when you see it you will know immediately due to its fan like shape) And Hawaii Travelers Palm in Belize close up of spent blooms of tree above.
