New critter on Halloween

Holy smokes, I woke up this morning and heard this scratch scratchin' under my bedroom window sill. I jumped up to see if that mean ol' neighbor cat was there, but instad it was this new critter. Kinda like a dog. I ran for the camera, ahhhhhhh batteries in the charger, I ran for the batteries. I was able to get a couple blurry shots of this guy like 3 feet away through the window. Then he dragged his butt along the ground a little bit. I yelled out "Hey, I don't see any Porta Potty signs pointing to my house." I think he heard me so he went around the corner and disappeared.

Oh, WoW! We used to see those beauties in our yard quite often, but since we got a dawg, they don't come around much. These shots are kinda like the ones I got of the deer on my septic tank the other day. Had to shoot through the dusty window in low light. They're a'ight, but I'm still pursuing the money shot. 8-] I think yours came out right nice, all things considered.

I missed my chance of shooting a grey fox with my camcorder. When I moved from one window to another, I didn't press the on/off button hard enough. I got some nice footage of my feet sprinting across the carpet and ended up pointing an OFF camera out the window. LOL!

I read about this a while bak, supposed to be on the market by March 2011. If it works, what a blessing it would be! Only question I have, is if it makes the plant taste bad, what would it do to the nectar from the flowers? Would the bees leave it alone too, and thereby ending open pollination?

It's supposed to be a "ghost" photo. So if he really was, no one would know they were sitting on him. That said, when I saw it, I didn't see it the first time, but I ultimately realized there was no reason for the cushion she was sitting on, and his legs go under the male. Ah.

Ok, he was around again this morning in the yard. I think he was gettin' a sun tan and dreaming, because I sneaked up on him and took tons of pics and he didn't run away. Just kinda was moving and kicking like dogs do when they dream.

I'd be kinda concerned about a wild fox lounging around the yard, unafraid, in broad daylight. Something just isn't right with that picture. Rabies is the first thing that pops into my mind, and that position isn't a normal canine sleep position. Something is wrong with that fox-it's either sick or poisoned. Animals with Rabies do NOT always go insane and attack everything, by the way, or foam at the mouth, but one of the main symptoms in a wild animal is the loss of fear of humans, and for nocturnal animals, being out and about in broad daylight.

I hope I did the right thing and called Animal Services after I wrote the second post. A woman came out with a cage and noose and scooped him up. He was kickin' a little but didn't have any strength to resist. I stood about 15 feet away and watched. The morning sun shone a sparkle in each of eyes, however fading. :( I hope they can fix him.

Oh, too bad. The little guy looks dead in the picture. Poor little thing. He must have been very sick. Such straight, rigid looking front legs and neck stretched out like that. A sick one, for sure. Sorry that happened.
