As you say, he was dry as a bone. The roots probably have been damaged by the drought. Just give him time, there may be hope in the long run. Keep the soil moist but not wet, and new roots may develop.

Julia Mariska seems to be doing ok, her substance on her flowers is thin, though. A little bit of water and she melts away, and starts to melt away in the afternoon. Stormy Monday made it through the winter great. Most of my daylilies were new last year, with a few new ones this year, and most made it through the winter with no problems. I lost a couple and a few struggled to get going this spring, but Stormy Monday had no problems at all. Sharons2 I have both Dragon's Eye and Little Red Dragon, and to be honest, I don't see much difference between the two flowers. Both are too new for me to judge quite yet, but I think Dragon's Eye puts out more blooms. They both look great to me, but I actually prefer Dragon's Eye. I think it really boils down to the qty of peppers you need to dry. Personally, the top of the refrigerator and now using the stove are plenty for me. I continue to look into dehydrators with hopes that future harvests will be bigger.... However, in that case I would prob want to bottle sauces and that would leave me with few peppers to dry... Seems like a luxury for me to invest in a dehydrator at this point in my growing of hot peppers. I do have the benefit of a very dry climate for drying. Sure I would think different if I lived in the south or a humid climate. Thanks for the info! Much appreciated. dj

Yup looks like it (I could be wrong). Keep the plant moist but not wet.
