Picture problem

I have a question that is more related to computers than herps, but it is hindering my viewing of all of your herp pics. We just got a new computer (much needed) and I like it alot except for one thing. I can't seem to view pictures posted here (and on my web sites). Most of them seemed to be from photobucket.com. I can view posted pictures after I have seen the originals on photobucket because after opening my pictures in my acount they suddenly became visible on my site. Is this a problem related to my privacy settings or is it just something I can't fix?

Im still trying to get my pics uploaded from South Carolina, but after I figure this out it should be much easier.

a. punch "resize" on this forum search - you will find oodles of options. b. punch 'resize photo' on google. You will find tins of free resizing sites. I just tried www.photosize.com It gives you an option - size in pixels - try something like 800 - see what size it will be - but I tried - got something like 80 kb do not overwrite your old pic. One of the first things I would look at is the filter capacitors in the Vertical Deflection circuit. Some sets shrink from top and bottom to a center bar in the center. Others will shrink upward or downward depending on which filter capacitor is defective. You need a schematic diagram to identify these Electrolytic Capacitors. Similar to a problem earlier on this forum. Most companies will not carry parts after 7 years if they are specialize parts. Electrolytic capacitors are very common and can be bought, depending on the value, at Radio Shack, Hosfelt, Mouser, All Electronics Corp. and other electronic type stores.

Most likly defective solder connections on circuit board. May be in the high voltage section, if you have complete loss of high voltage. May be in video circuit or vertical circuit if no brightness. These symptoms are similar, but not the same. pw
