Pattie I love the sphinx moth pics. I ususaly can't get them to hold still long enough to get a pic. I was surprised I got the one to sit on my hand last week. I'll trade you all in the south a groundhog for a dillo. lol Sounds like they do the same kind of damage. Lynette I thought my butterfly gingers were really late this season because they are just getting buds so I was surprised to hear that yours are just budding up too. My maternal grandmother had a saying, "It takes a snake to catch a snake" (at least I think that was what she said). Anyway, I would go down to a local pet store and buy yourself a king snake. King snakes are harmless and they have the attribute of preying on other snakes, including venomous snakes. Per Wikipedia, "Kingsnakes are generally docile, curious and gentle". Let it go in your house. In short order, your new king snake will root out this interloper and kill it. Then, place a live mouse in a large, glassed in container like an aquarium. Make sure the mouse is secured so it cannot run away. Within a day or two the king snake will get hungry again and will go a-hunting. It will climb into the aquarium to get the mouse. Soon as it does, place a cover on the aquarium. You can then either keep your new pet or sell it on Ebay.

Pleaseeeee don’t fall for the seeds you will see on Etsy , Pinterest or eBay. Gosh my own mother who had gardened as long as I’ve been alive ordered the rainbow rose seeds and I couldn’t believe it . I found the rose on help me find listed as possibly available in Texas . You would have to call the nursery and see if they could ship it to you ?! Good luck ! If no help there , maybe we can help find an acceptable rose that looks similar for you . :)
