Thanks so much for looking ;) Hi, Kay *waves* I have two other coneflowers that survived the winter and will soon color, so can't wait to see which they are! girlgroupgirl, thanks so much. I was almost twinkling with happiness at your comment, because I tend to crush my little artistic ego some years thinking I have a brilliant plan, and then throwing together some hideous combinations. Lol. This year I just tossed cosmos into lots and lots of container edges and that looks great, too.

Now you need to evaulate it to see if it is evergreen, semievergreen or dormant. What is the ploidy of tet or dip, the height of scape, the size of flower and if it is fragrant. Once all these items have been noted, you can register it with the AHS If it was in commerce , I would not hesitate to buy it if I saw it at my local nursery.

Thanks, Ed and Ellie, I just think it's a pretty shade of purple, different from the really dark ones. I know purples vary so much and even if I plant the same one, it may not be the same shade for me. I've heard Russian Rhapsody gets rust, do you know of a pretty purple that doesn't rust? Nichole

cyn, good point about the window treatments. oly and others, thanks so much for the idea of a wall of built ins along the north wall. Annie's visual sure does help. rnmom, this is my daughter's bedroom, and even though she's in college now and will have her own place soon, she definitely needs the closet space. She would have preferred a walk-in, but my husband and I are attempting to downsize. That concept seems to work better for us in theory than in reality!
