Hi The big problem will be keeping the water warm enough. Most tropical fish don't make good pond fish due to the fact they are colored to be inconspicuous from the top. The other problem will be cannabalism lol. Arowanas and RT catfish will eat anything they can get their mouth around . I don't think the angelfish stand a chance due to the enourmous size. Have you checked out a site called "Monster tanks". Would be the info you need to run a tropical tank that size Good luck gary

Hey Dave- I grew up in Oakhurst and actually went to kindergarten at the Methodist Church. I was up and down Monmouth Rd. at least 6 times today and once I actually glanced up at the steeple remembering the day the put it up!! Very spooky!!! I always am amazed at the amount of birds in our area also. I now am in Shark River Hills (which kind of reminds me of Oakhurst) and I have quite the bird sanctuary in my backyard. I unfortunately do not have an awesome camera, as you do. I love raptors. I'm always driving on Rt. 18 looking at them soaring above-I have a convertible. I know...doesn't sound too safe!! There are many hawks in the area of Deal Rd.- just west of Logan. I guess with Palaia Park (Deal Test Site to me), there is plenty of room to nest. Keep posting those pics and hopefully you have some good painkillers for that tooth!!

This bird, an immature, has lost several feathers from the molt. It has lost two tail feathers through the molt, and notice the gaps in the wing feathers. Those are molted out. Notice also that one tail feather is starting to descend in the adult, red form. As a falconer specializing in red-tails, I'm certain that this bird has lost only one or two tail feathers from non-molting causes, probably from trying to capture a larger animal. The bird will survive. It learns quickly how to fly with these missing feathers. All is well. The hawks here in Ohio are a few weeks or more away from the molt. Your bird also has dark markings. I presume that this is a bird from the south and west.

Thanks, I thought so, but I am not that familiar with identifying hawks, although I seem to be seeing them more and more lately! This one was back today, perched in same spot, screaming. I have read that the females are larger than the males, so I am guessing this one must be a female because it is HUGE, larger than the other ones I have seen, which I have only seen two in person. Thanks again!!!
