This little guys has been flitting around my uncle's house in Tyler, Tx. This is the best picture he could get at the time. Anyone know what type?

IâÂÂm going to go out on a limb here and guess that itâÂÂs actually some variety of Hummingbird Moth ( Hemaris thysbe) based on its abdominal coloring and shape.

Could someone please ID these plants

Thanks for the replies, but we are still on the track for ID of this plant. Greenthumbzdud said it looked like a Begonia 'Bonfire', but if you look at the leaves, the leaves on my plant have jagged edgies to the leaves, and the red part of the plant is quite meaty. Someone else mentioned a cactus. No, definately not a cactus. Any other ideas would be welcome and thanks for taking the time to reply.

Hey, this is the plant my neighbor has, and we are in 7b. It comes back or reseeds or sends out runners or something. She has one growing right in her lawn, and that's not where they started out. The hummers love them, and the plants are fairly sturdy and attractive.

Another hummer this morning. Since corunum AKA Jane discovered that links to videos were still being posted while jpg pics were not, I took a video - you can see the urgency with which she fills up with the nectar solution. The migrants are still coming through the pipeline - a good reason to keep feeders up. Claire (sounding like a broken record)

Not one of the true 'hummingbird moths ', but absolutely one of the many Sphinx moths. Most of them have very similar behavior. Looks more like one of the tomato/tobacco hornworm moths, to me. (Spots on the abdomem.) They all look like a hovering HB.
