First you need to upload it online somewhere, such as Photobucket (free). Some free image hosting services will provide you with a HTML code snippet for putting the image in the post. If yours doesn't, then there are two ways you can show it. 1. img HTML tags - These tags will make it display in the post itself like below: Replace all + below with for working HTML code: +img src="http://thewebadressofyourpicture/pict.jpg" border="0"> Replace the http://thewebaddress... part with the URL of your picture. 2. HTML link - This provides a link to open it in another window like below: Replace the + with in the below: +a href="http://thewebaddressofpicture/pict.jpg" target=_blank- linkname +/a- Where linkname is what you want others to read (such as "my flowers"). Hope this helps, Liltika

HighlanderNorth First you must choose where to store your photos..I suggest either Picasa, which I personally use, or Photo-bucket which seems to be the most popular. I have both but find dealing with Picasa easier. Also in Picasa you can very easily add text to your picture which comes in handy. Both Picasa and Photo bucket are free, just have to download them onto your computer. The thing I like about Picasa is that once I've downloaded my pictures to my Windows Live Photo Gallery, they automatically go to Picasa..you don't have to download them there directly. So, once you have chosen your picture storage website (there are others too) tell us and then some-one of us who uses the same will try to direct you as easily as possible to learn to post pictures. I remember on the Hydrangea forum, I tried to help someone learn to post pictures and I did give a rather lengthy tutorial on the procedure. I hope it wasn't me that confused the heck out of you...;-) Donna

Hi, I asked this same question about a month ago. My post is on the 2nd page of this forum. I open a separate browser and go to photobucket and upload your pictures on there. You can also resize them there if you don't want them to be really big. Under each picture you will see a small box and if you click on the HTML code that will copy your picture, then go back to your post on the garden web and hit the ctrl V and that should paste the html code in your post. Make sure you paste it at the beginning of a new line. I also like to hit enter a few time between pictures so there is space between them. When you preview your message, you should see the pictures then. I hope this is not too confusing, If you have any teenagers around, they can probably show you how to do it. I had to have my son help me the first time. Goodluck Linda

Hi from another dlm! Well I just tried to use tinypic - not sure what the deal is there but if you don't join (which is simply creating an account) how do you access your pictures again? I've been using photobucket and find it works well. Picasa also works. Set up an account at your chosen site, upload your pictures (they will give you instructions there if you don't yet know how) and you'll find options to post in different formats. You want the one that says HTML code. Copy that code and past it in your post here. Below is a link to the test forum here so you can practice - or you can practice here, either way. We all had to learn somewhere so you'll get lots of help. Here is a link that might be useful: Garden Web Test Forum
