Radical pic! That's with a Fuji?! Dawg! I love my KM's super macro, but Idano if it's that good. I took a couple of pics of a jumping spider through the glass door, but it was sitting where the dog sticks her nose on one side and the frogs ambush moths on the other, so it's pretty fuzzy. 8-]
heheheh... Still, the fine details are amazing! I chose a bigger zoom over mp's this time. Reckon I'm gonna have to start looking for a second camera for closeups. Still can't find that perfect camera with 20mp and 20x optical zoom. 8->
Phidippus spiders are a hoot to watch. I found a P. regius this weekend that was eating one of SophieMae's A. buprestoides walkingsticks. Not too many predators can deal with those defensive sprays!
Get outa here, Chubbly! Now that's my kinda spider! 8-] Thanks for the link, Day! Hmmmm... wonder how much gas I'll have to NOT buy to get that $3300 camera I like. LOL!
Wow, That's a beaut,(both spider & photo)! Are you sure you haven't started decorating a little early & that's a premo Holloween deco from Micheal's? Peg
Hello spider and camera people. That pretty little Phidippus regius (sp?) looks just like the jumping spiders that I keep in my kitchen/dining rooms to eat flies at night. I've been doing it for years. They are such wonderful fly eliminators! I'd probably keep them even if I didn't have flies. But it's always good to have a back-up story ready for the ones who freak at the sight of "SPIDER!!!". :)
