SW Ohio is okay but west central and central Ohio did get some tornadoes touching down but I have not heard about damage. My farm is fine and i am happy we did not get the plastic on the high tunnel on Saturday as it might have been damaged by the storms (though probably not as the storms weakened a lot over top of us so we didn't even get big winds for more than a minute or two) I will assume there are row covers all over the place but nothing more than that. Indiana was hit badly from north to south by tornadoes but i don't think as badly as IL

i get my stone from Garrity's at about 3500 N. Ritter Ave. on the east side. i had my limestone and gravel for my pond delivered for less than $100, about 5 years ago. i also used to go to the Stone Center, off Allisonville Rd. we would get the van weighed, and drive back to the river rock. i would take about 5 kids and we would hand pick the rocks we liked. we then would have the van weighed again to get the price per pound. the kids loved it, we got the exact stones we wanted and didn't have to pay delivery charges.

Yes, Rosalee I think your right. It looks like a garter snake. I'm a little nervous around spiders right now I just took my daughter in for an abscess on her leg, it turned out to be a spider bite. She had an allergic reaction and it looks bad. He said they aren't like wasps, you don't even feel it when they bite you. We don't even know if it happened in the house or out. It looks worse than it is, he just prescribed an ointment. I kept her home from school today, more for my peace of mind. I'm going to make sure she wears pants and good shoes when she's outside gardening (she has a lot of seedlings growing)
