My field guide doesn't have a very good pic of one, but now that I've Googled a few, I think maybe you're right.
Did all your dragonflies disappear for a few days after the hurricane? Ours have returned and brought a few friends, as well. I saw my first (for our yard) female Common Whitetail the other day. Still looking for her mate.

I'm out everyday. Recent walks turn up as follows: Mostly female Pondhawks, some males, a couple Carolina Saddlebags, one or two male Slaty Skimmers and Common Greens that hide in the reeds and then take off when I get close. The Cyrano seemed to like close quarters, landing on tree limbs low to the ground.
