Jroot--Since your wife is of Ukranian descent, I wonder if you grow the dahlia Ukraine Free? I got it this year, but I can't say much about it except that it hasn't bloomed yet. I don't believe it is the dahlia's fault though since it got a late start in my garden. I got it from Accent based solely on their description that it is super heat-tolerant. I don't think I'll have a chance to test that this year since it doesn't even have a bud yet and by the time it blooms it will be cooler (I hope). Somehow I knew that you built that little bird church. Maybe if you offered Coffee and Donuts, they'd come back. :) Annabeth

The frames alone are worth way more than $10! How exciting if the paintings are authentic! All your finds are cool. DH loves to go to estate sales looking for things like what you've found. He hasn't found any valuable paintings, but we do have an old Oster blender and an old GE toaster that we use, both from the '50's, I believe. Sally

Don't give up Esmeralda! Try and see how you do. We will keep helping you. It is so rewarding to have them flower and fruit. As long as you can put them outside in the summer you will probably do fine with them. Many even have success having to grow them inside all year. The hardest thing is to get the feel for the correct amount of watering and if you have an airy, fast draining mix that isn't even too hard. You will get the knack of it. I like the kitchen and first bathroom, and also very much the Greenwich apartment room. I find Mario Buatta's design a little too formulaic and a little dated by now. He hasn't changes his look much, so it must still be popular.
