George the Washington Bald Eagle nests with Martha's rival

A while ago I posted a story about two bald eagles that nested along the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. They had been nesting near the Beltway Bridge for a number of years. Last year Martha was attacked by another female bald eagle. After a period in rehab she returned to George but subsequently was reinjured and this time she didn't make.

Now George is nesting with the Martha's rival, the one who attacked her. See ling below for story.
