I've squashed 2 of them down here in Campbell last week when emptying a couple of EarthTainers. They contained tan bark in them so maybe the previous poster has them correctly identified. They moved pretty fast, so I didn't have a chance to really look at them, other than the bright orange and black markings. This Season, I've got the Take Down Garden Spray at the ready for the Psyllids and Tomato Russet Mites. I am using silver reflective plastic much in the 'Tainers this Season to bring some brightness to the underside of the leaves. We will see if this has any deterrent on the critters.... Plants are about 18 inches tall now and some are flowering. Raybo

Be careful if you open that bottle or wash it. Sometimes fumes can remain or be reactivated by adding water. open the stopper so it is not going to give you whiff in your direction. Could have had something else in it also! Neat stuff. Halloween ladder-that's a 1st! Sounds cute! Will be handy to place often used tools. So your partner in crime bought all the rest $240. I've gotten pinched more then a few times. We catch them pretty often. Madi caught a big one today but I didn't want to take it home because she had a huge clutch of eggs under her tail and I didn't want to jeopardize their hatching. I think I accidently introduced a non native land snail into this area about 10 years ago. I really hope that I didn't but I just don't know. It's quite possible that it came in on a shipment of plants that I got from DH and who knows where they could have originated? They are beautiful land snails. Their shell is round, predominantly yellow with brown, black & gray stripes and they get to be about the size of a quarter. I'd never seen them before and the kids' friends thought they were pretty and took them home to their yards. The only places I've seen this particular snail is around my house and the homes of the kids that took some. I haven't found a pic online. I'll take a photo tomorrow and maybe someone can ID them for me. They don't seem to be destructive either as they appear to eat dead plant matter. I see them sliming across my plants but they don't eat the healthy foliage, at least I don't think they do. Karyn

Gosh, thank you all very much! Connie, you are too nice to me, I'm getting the big head! lol Ginger, you, too! This all happened on the Gulf, at Indian Rocks Beach, south a little bit from Clearwater. Imagine my surprise to find a sea turtle nest next to "our" sand dune the first morning we were there! If we had gone out to the beach at 10:30 the night before, right after we arrived, like I wanted to but DH was toooo tired, we might have seen her digging it or laying the eggs! As it was, just finding it the next AM was very exciting. Then to find out that 147 babies hatched out 60 days later, very cool! I felt like they were MY babies! lolol I spent yesterday working on my tin, and I made 2 new turtles, one to replace the original one. Today I'll make my sand and then paint it when it's dry. It'll be done soon. Then I'll need a new project. lol
