Im sorry but you dont have an infestation of anything. Its a natural part of the tree. Every Single one of my ficus trees has this. The 'mouth' isn't stuck to the branch of the tree, it is the branch of the tree. There is no mouth, you do not have bugs on your plant. Eventually tugging and pulling on all of them, and spraying with everything under the sun is going to harm your plant. Again, theres nothing wrong (as said before) Keep up the good work its growing well!

Looks like a milipede to me. Not an insect to be worried about, they enjoy eating decaying matter (soil). I have some in a couple of my houseplants and have seen no ill effects. I'm guessing they were present at purchase because I've never put my plants outside. You can pick them out of the soil as you see them, but I wouldn't worry about "getting rid" of them. I've read their poop is better for plants than earthworms (now how true that is, I don't know). But, they're not a pest that you need to be bent on getting rid of, they won't eat your plant and they're more of a beneifical insect. Planto

Slugs love morning glories - I'd say go through the soil, make sure there are no worms in it, then put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 250 degrees - that will kill anything living in the soil.
