Give us a hint. Size, weight, material (bone, scales, feather lite or baseball heavy, quarter size or bowling ball size).

I suspect you may be right. It is about 1 inch in diameter, the spikey things are about 1 1/2 inches long. It is very light and seems to have scales on one side and leathery skin on the other.

Thanks for the guess on a cat dropping a fish. It makes more sense than anything I could think of....

seriously, it looks to me like part of a fish too. It could have been dropped by a passing bird too.

That is part of a deceased fish. It's a cross-section of the area around the gills and pectoral fins-those are the two things sticking out.
