Sparky10, Yes, I have a basset, Mr. Peabody. Bassets are in the family. My brother has 2 and a cousin has 1. They will sure brighten your day! Did the blue birds return? I hear them more than see them, even though they are bright blue. Susan

Glad your mystery was solved Jane! I don't see too many mockingbirds and didn't realize their beaks look like that. Just in case you don't know this.......many times they chatter in the middle of the night! Its so weird to hear a bird talking so much in the darkness! One time I came home from work around 1:30 a.m. and it was totally dark and the mocker was talking up a storm! Happy Birding!
