No, vulcanica is definitely latin. Natives use names like "Toe" with an accent over the 'e' or "boracherro" or "guamuco" for sanguinea. I am assuming they closely relate the two. Vulcanicola is found much higher up in the Andes than sanguinea generally. It is found in locations with a thin layer of top soil, followed by a layer of volcanic rock and ash below that, and below that the soil is clay like. It seems likely that the plant was used in much the same way as sanguinea, but since it seems there are very few names used for different varieties of Brugmansia by the natives and these names are quite different than latin, I would assume that vulcanicola is not a native name. Take for example the name of sanguinea in Peru and the name of insignis in Peru also. Both are named "Toe" in some places. Perhaps Tom will chime in with more. And he'll probably correct me on some things too. : )

This is exactly what happened with my house. I was planning on listing in about a month, but was in process of doing some staging while waiting for a couple of things. The fact that I didn't have to deal with showings was such a relief. We had the real estate agents come out a month or two before we were listing to offer pricing ideas, review comps, marketing ideas, etc. I also asked about what would need to be done to get the house ready to be put on the market. Initially I had an additional list of things that I thought may be needed to update. The real estate agent we selected just said, it looks fine, don't waste your time, just do some basic decluttering. Some things in my house are great, some are more dated, but it is 20+ years old, so it would be expected that some parts would be showing some age. In the end it was clean and well maintained, but not perfect. The realtors see what else is out there every day, so will have good input into what is REALLY important, and what will set you apart from the competition. Another piece of advice, I posted here for staging help, and got a ton of helpful input. I would recommend doing the same.

So far it has been fine for me. If we had children, it might be different. But my husband is a welder/fitter and gets very dirty/greasy when on some jobs. He wears Carhart shirts and jeans. I can wash 2 of those shirts and 2 jeans along with the caps. (BTW, Carhart shirts are made of very thick, heavy material). They agitate very well and I can see the clothes turnover. In my old machine, I couldn't see that at all. I started researching and came upon Speed Queen. I watched all the Speed Queen videos on Youtube and read comments on this forum and one other forum. I read countless reviews. If the words Speed Queen are on the net, I think I found them all. I actually did not start out to get a Speed Queen but I was sick of the machine I had. On top of that, it was somewhere around 2 1/2 years old and the bearing went out. But since SQ cost a lot, it is certainly not a decision to make lightly. Fingers crossed that I will continue to be happy.

EnergyRater - I guess I would rather have the choice of a material that was non toxic. Just because it is enclosed out of my living space, it still is produced and people working in the production of it are exposed to it, people installing it, people removing it are exposed to it, and then it has to break down into the environment too. So if there is a non toxic choice, that would be my preference. An air tight house is something I’m not sure I agree with. I don’t now enough about it yet. I realize that with an air tight house, it can work if you provide enough ventilation, but I’ve heard of air tight homes that became a hazard. I’m going to have to read up on that more. We are not doing the first floor, so probably we could not make the house air tight, but maybe you mean, if we are going to try for air tight, we may as well do it that way on the upstairs. Part of the second floor is storage under the eaves of the roof. We have a cape. The hallway shares that wall. Thank you ERater… :-)
