Yes, I think you guys are correct. I was thrown off by the bare stems and sparse leaves and tight flower buds . . . but as the flower buds are maturing they are growing into what Baptisia flowers will look like, and the three-petal leaf sets are certainly Baptisia-like! It is weird that there is so little foliage, though --- and that I have absolutely no recollection of buying this plant!!! Thank you!

Hi Gary and perennall, thanks a lot. I looked up Morgensonne, but that one is double (or semi-) and the NOID has single flowers. But interestingly enough Morgensonne is described to be a cultivar of H decapetalus, so they would be of the same species. I couldn`t get any more information from the garden lady, but the way she works it is most likely an old variety, handed down/ around in the neighbourhood, and not bought at a nursery (that would be waste of money...) here another detail of the flowers, single and bright yellow, so looking forward to them next summer. thanks, bye, Lin

I’ve been shopping for a desk. Evidently not many furniture stores have a wide selection and they certainly don’t give them much floor space, if any. I also want an odd size, to further complicate things. I would so much prefer to sit at one before I buy it. Finally I had to shop “ backwards “ . I found the desk I want online and then found a furniture store that sells that line. I really prefer to go through a store so I have someone to call if there is a problem. Furniture and rugs are among the things that I want to see IRL, but it sure requires a lot of leg work. Otherwise it is Amazon for me. I do shop at my local hardware and pharmacy for convenience and to support them but for price they cannot compete with the chains.

I'd say "Coming Soon" is an overstatement, and I have to wonder how long it would take for the price of the 'true blue' cultivars to come down enough they're offered regularly at garden centers. Pretty cool though, but it makes me wonder about disease issues with the cultivars produced this way - could they be more susceptible to insects and insect-borne pathogens, for example.
