Spotted this tawny owl in corner of my garden. It was being "mobbed" by many different garden birds including long-tailed tits, a robin and blackbirds.
I searched and found the tawny owls tend to stay in their territory rather than migrate. They remind me of our Eastern Screech owls-in the U.S. Here's some info. for anyone wanting to learn more about them. Thanks for posting your photo. If you put up a nest box, you might get a family in your garden as that might be a male searching for a home! I've been lucky enough to have a screech owl frequenting the nest box I hung, from time to time. Robin
