Hmm... I saw that link. Weith $10 shipping, it's not too bad (the other ones had like $20-30 shipping). Several of the comments indicated that the vendor shipped them yellow millet instead of white millet. I have never heard of yellow millet? I think it was either white or red. In any way, I was wondering if you folks have ahd any experience with this vendor.

Millet is usually one of the easier seeds to find in bulk. You didn't mention where you've looked in your area but feed stores and specialty outdoor bird feeding shops definitely should have it. Many big box pet stores have a "wild/outdoor bird" food aisle or section. I know both our Petsmart and Petco's do. You can even find it grocery stores, usually near the pet food. I'd would be very surprised if you'd have to order it.
In my experience, junco's will chow down on any type of millet and the squirrels get frustrated because the seeds are so small. They will eat it but prefer larger fare. Have you tried throwing some peanuts in the shell out for them? The squirrels I mean. I prefer to use roasted peanuts myself.

You're wrong - I've been looking for millet that's not mixed with other seeds everywhere. Amazon is the only place that carries it.

and the farm supply stores such a basin coop or cenex do too

I buy a 50 pound bag of white proso millet from my feed store and it is about $12.00 or so. It is just millet, nothing else added. I would call around to your outlying feed stores and see if they have it or could order it for you. I buy mine for my guineas. The juncos and a few other birds will clean up any leftovers, but there usually isn't much.

The shop where I work carries white millet in 20, 10 & 5 lb. bags.
Starlinka - you don't say where you live but I'm sure there's a source of millet somewhere near you.

I live in NC. We have Tractor Supply, Bartlett Milling Company, Lowes, a few pet shops. No one sells millet.

I live in Maryland, lots of stores here carry white millet --- Southern States, wildbird stores, hardware stores, pet stores and garden centers.

Unfortunately, I don't have the free time to drive to another state to buy millet.

I went to google and looked up feed store and typed in my zip code, it return a page of stuff, many were combo feed store / garden center. I tend started calling up each of the by distance from my house. The first store was actually near where my wife works and cost $17 for 50 lbs and I can also purchase by the pound.
